11 Steps to Finding the Perfect Chiropractor

Finding a good chiropractor can be a daunting task. You may have no idea where to look, and you don’t want to trust your spine, neck, and had to just anyone.  It’s important to find a skilled chiropractor that you trust.  You don’t want to end up in more pain then you started out in. Here are the 11 steps to finding the perfect chiropractor.

  1. Ask for recommendations from friends, family members, and doctors. When you get a recommendation you know that you’re going to someone that’s been tested by someone you trust. Do keep in mind that what works for one person might not work for you.

  1. Check your health insurance company’s website. You may find some of the chiropractors your friends recommended here.  Going through insurance saves you money and that can add up if you have multiple sessions. You may also find other chiropractors that are close by.

  1. Search the Internet to see if there are chiropractors in your neighborhood. It’s always good to stay local if possible, because you don’t want to have to commute far if you’re having multiple sessions.

  1. Check out the websites for the chiropractors you’re interested in. You’ll get a better idea of their personality, and hopefully be able to tell if they’re a good fit.  You’ll also learn more about what method of chiropractic services they use.

  1. Check out review sites like yelp to find out what other people have to say about the chiropractors you’re interested in. You’ll learn a lot about how their office works, and what they’re like.  It’s also a great way to find highly rated chiropractors in your area.

  1. Narrow down your list to your top 3 to 5 choices that way you’re not overwhelmed with options. If you live in a metropolitan area you may find that there are many chiropractors to choose from so you don’t want to give up because you don’t know which one is best.

  1. Call your top 3 to 5 chiropractors and ask them any questions you might have. If you can’t get the chiropractor on the phone see if they offer a free consult or the possibility of an interview.

  1. If you’re able to set up an interview for a free consult go in and see what it’s like. Do as many as you can from your list.

  1. Make a list of the pros and cons of each chiropractor. That way you can figure out which one you like best.

  1. Compare the rates of each chiropractor versus their pros and cons. The Price might be the deciding factor if someone is very expensive.

  1. Look over your research, trust your gut, and make a decision.
